Built by operators. Powered by engineers.

Ironworks AI was founded on a simple thesis: the biggest opportunity in AI isn't building models — it's teaching businesses how to use them.

Meet the Founder

Matthew built his career at the intersection of business, government, and high-stakes sales. Over the last four years, he has generated over $60 million in total sales and fundraising — across client engagements at LINK Public Affairs, business development at a prior consulting firm, and fundraising for Governor Glenn Youngkin's administration.

He built LINK Public Affairs from a startup to $12 million in annual revenue, personally sourcing 70–85% of the firm's business. He served as Deputy Chief of Staff and Senior Political Advisor in the Governor's office, managing complex operations across government, campaigns, and Fortune 500 consulting.

Ironworks AI exists because Matthew watched hundreds of businesses — from 5-person shops to mid-market firms — struggle with the same problem: they knew AI mattered, but they had no idea where to start, who to trust, or what it should cost. The big consultancies wouldn't return their calls. The SaaS companies were selling them tools they didn't need. The freelancers couldn't scale.

He's not a technologist cosplaying as a business person. He's a proven operator and rainmaker building a world-class technical team to solve a problem he's watched up close for years.

Why We Exist

In the 1980s, personal computers existed — but most businesses had no idea what to do with them. The companies that won weren't building PCs. They walked into offices, set up systems, and showed people how they'd change everything.

AI is in that exact moment right now.

There are 33 million businesses in America. 96% plan to adopt AI. Almost none have AI budgets or experts on staff. The market is massive, the need is urgent, and nobody is serving it well at the SMB level.

Ironworks fills that gap. We're not a SaaS company. We're not a body shop. We're the AI partner that small and medium-sized businesses have been waiting for — one that understands their operations, builds tools that actually work, and sticks around to make sure they keep working.
